Much like I become attached to a new song, by playing the hell out of it, I develop this deep love with new and not so new pieces in my wardrobe. Me wearing these Anine Bing boots in over 5 outfit posts in only the past 2 weeks, is me treating them as I treat my favorite song. The boots are going to be the sound track to my summer.
My absolute favorite thing about taking road trips versus flying, is stumbling across pockets of beautiful scenic areas. Every time my boyfriend and I road trip we almost always decide in a split second to pull over and start shooting. It’s never planned or mapped out. I almost feel as if these beautiful places along the way get inside my head and pull my car off the road.
There’s a familiar feeling that comes over me every year after a weekend in Indio for the Coachella music festival. It’s a feeling of depression because the hype and anxiousness that’s been happening all year is now over. It’s over too quickly. While you’re having too much fun you don’t even realize where the time went and just like that it’s time to go back to reality. All you have to take with you are some photo’s and memories from the weekend.
I’m not one to prance around in front of a group of people in my swimsuit. Not that there’s any thing wrong with doing so, it’s just not me. I usually opt for a one-piece/denim short combo or in this case matching separates that simulate that of a bikini.
I’m finally mentally and physically back from my travels to the music festival in the desert over this past weekend.
This was my outfit from Day 1. I have to say these Anine Bing boots really got me through the weekend!
Coachella is just an excuse for me to wear all leather, and run around in the desert shooting on beautiful locations.
There is more new-ness than usual going on in my outfit in this post. Anine Bing boots for a music festival. YES. They were already perfect, but I must say the dirt and dust does them good. The LNA horse tee and Luv AJ cuff rings are the other newbies to my wardrobe. All essentials for my Coachella suitcase!

It’s finally my favorite season, the season of music festivals. I’m still not sure what’s more exciting, the music or the carefree desert diva fashion. I can’t lie, I’m style stalking throughout the whole music festival, (for me it’s Coachella, closest to my home in SO-Cal.) but in all honestly I am very in touch with the actual music (and my clothes)!
Every year I find that playing with a more soft and neutral color palette, with easy, wearable basic pieces, makes for a more happy experience. When I put too much though into my outfits I end up being uncomfortable and distracted from the actual music. I like to be raw that weekend, which means earthy softer tones work better with my mood. I also like to mix and match separates and re-wear some pieces throughout the weekend, to make packing easier on myself. I usually choose a comfy boot or flat that I can wear the entire duration of the festival, and something that I don’t mind destroying in the muddy conditions.
This collage of Coachella inspired pieces is my actual wish list for the festival. I won’t be able to get everything on here but if I could have it my way these pieces would make up at least 2 of my outfits! I would wear the suit/shorts/sweater (when it gets chilly at night) together. I would also wear this airy dress and hat a different day, again throwing the sweater over it at night. The shoes and bag work with both looks, mixing and matching!
Now lets go be fashionable in the desert!
