It’s very appropriate for me to post a little Abercrombie, as I am currently residing in my hometown Pittsburgh, PA, and I spent my entire high school working for AF. Retail therapy over the holidays in Pittsburgh happens at the Ross Park Mall, which is also my old stomping ground. In an attempt to show
my boyfriend the store that gave me so many memories growing up, I found myself back where I started, Abercrombie. Of course walking into the store I was only trying to showcase a memory, and I ended up walking out with the essence of what Abercrombie & Fitch is known for, a cozy knit + distressed denim. These super skinny ripped jeans (I exaggerated the holes a little more on my own) are some of the softest denim I’ve felt in a while, much softer than half of the denim in my wardrobe. I started to overanalyze as I normally do, Abercrombie & Fitch were basically the originators of designer distressed jeans for the contemporary market. I’m not talking 80’s Levis when girls did the whole DIY rips, I’m talking full on rips created by the brand sold and delivered to you at perfection, for a pretty penny. AF you sure know how to execute distressed denim and over-sized knits (I bought a size L to make it fit baggy) to this day. Oh and one more thing, not sure if It was my minimum wage budget back in high school making the clothing seem more expensive in price or what, but everything in the store was 50% off. I guess AF is having some sort of store wide sale for 50% off, I’ll never pass up a good sale! Both pieces from AF in my look, sweater + denim were under $100. You’ll always be in my heart, AF.
