The cure to a bad day usually involves, a new purchase, music, food, and wine, something along those lines…. On this particular day I was definitely feeling the pressure with my full time job as a buyer and my side job: blogging.

Why is it so hard to find the perfect denim shirt?! Probably because, denim is usually stiff and not one bit flattering on the top half of our bodies. I’m really reaching for the stars to make this statement sound creative, but there’s no way around it; the Current Elliott button up really is, “The perfect denim shirt”.
I think it’s a good idea for everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and try new styles once in awhile. This outfit is definitely outside my comfort zone…I rarely ever dress super feminine.
As much as I don’t want to admit it, (I know you have all done this one time or another, don’t lie!) sometimes I decide I want to give in and buy something after it’s been done a million times.
Don’t be mistaken by my outfit, I am not an LA native. However, it may seem that way because I am indeed wearing fur in SoCal.
Most of the time, in the world of shopping, good things do not come to those who wait. I’ve had my eye on this sequin Iro blazer all season long and never actually pulled the trigger until recently.
Believe it or not this is my first long pea coat since high school. After suffering in freezing temperatures back east for the holidays, I finally gave in and bought this beautiful Burberry Brit coat. With so-cal’s recent temperature drop I’m getting more use out of this perfectly constructed coat than I thought I would!

Since it’s a little too early to break out an entire white ensemble, I opted for the lightest pair of denim leggings I could possibly find. The only thing that seems to excite me in this transitional season are interesting jackets and sweaters.
