There’s a familiar feeling that comes over me every year after a weekend in Indio for the Coachella music festival. It’s a feeling of depression because the hype and anxiousness that’s been happening all year is now over. It’s over too quickly. While you’re having too much fun you don’t even realize where the time went and just like that it’s time to go back to reality. All you have to take with you are some photo’s and memories from the weekend.

Some days errands have meaning and require you to look somewhat put together-or what I (and the majority of the population refers to fashion without thought as) “effortlessly chic”. I knew the people I would be coming into contact with on this particular day would not be pleased with my normal tattered denim, sneakers and comfy tee attire.
I’m not one to prance around in front of a group of people in my swimsuit. Not that there’s any thing wrong with doing so, it’s just not me. I usually opt for a one-piece/denim short combo or in this case matching separates that simulate that of a bikini.
I’m finally mentally and physically back from my travels to the music festival in the desert over this past weekend.
This was my outfit from Day 1. I have to say these Anine Bing boots really got me through the weekend!
Coachella is just an excuse for me to wear all leather, and run around in the desert shooting on beautiful locations.
There is more new-ness than usual going on in my outfit in this post. Anine Bing boots for a music festival. YES. They were already perfect, but I must say the dirt and dust does them good. The LNA horse tee and Luv AJ cuff rings are the other newbies to my wardrobe. All essentials for my Coachella suitcase!
It’s quite ironic that the concept of stripes is associated with being in jail, because I feel as if I’m in jail with this trend. I can’t break away from black and white stripes, or any form of stripes for that matter. Stripes are becoming my new black.
My ultimate dream is to live in some sort of acceptable pajamas every day. Not your normal pajamas or sweats, but an elevated duo that can be worn with my favorite pair of black booties or oxford shoes in the mid day. I absolutely fell in love with 10 Corso’s fall 2013 collection of knit pull overs and moto jackets, but Corso spring is just as good.
I had a chance to visit the 10 CORSO showroom last week to preview the Fall2013 collection. Words, or even photos cannot even begin to describe to capture how cool this collection really is. Think, California cool, meets swanky NYC street style.
I have to admit, after seeing numerous photos of jagged edge DIY denim cut to a cropped calf length, I was curious. Since I often purge my closet of once loved clothing almost every single month, I didn’t have a pair of jeans to sacrifice to my scissors and crop.
It’s very rare that I gravitate toward pairing and wearing a combination of all new (to my wardrobe) pieces together at one time. It’s even more rare that every single piece in this outfit is very distinct and special.
